I like to combine two different approaches when I’m thinking about black and grey:

Stipple shading- a shading technique that uses fine dot work

Grey wash- a smooth blend of tones from dark to light

Black and grey tattoos don’t have to look heavy!

My style tends to lean more illustrative as I use a combination of varying line weights,
